What we collect. Your phone number, which you enter to create an account. We send you a code by text message to check the number is yours. Also what you enter during registration, your language choice, your email address if you provide it, and what you do in the app: reports you post, your convoys, your points, your invitations and your answers to the daily questions. Plus technical data such as your IP address, your device and browser, and the time of use.

Why, and on what basis. Running your account and showing your reports to other drivers is the service itself, so this is performance of our agreement with you (art. 6.1.b GDPR). Keeping the app safe and stopping fake accounts is based on our legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR). Statistics, advertising and the newsletter happen only with your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR).

Advertising. We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To know which ad works, we send data to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. This covers your phone number and an internal user number, both encrypted with SHA256 so Meta does not receive them in readable form, plus your country code, your IP address, your browser data and the Meta cookies. This only happens if you say yes to marketing in the cookie banner. If you say no, we send nothing. You can always withdraw your consent. Meta also uses this data for its own purposes, and Meta is responsible for that itself.

Newsletter. Providing your email address is optional. If you give it, we use it to send you our newsletter and for features that send an email, such as forwarding a waiting time report. You can unsubscribe with one click in every email. We do not use your address for advertising.

Statistics. We use Google Analytics to measure how many people use the site and the app. That also happens only after your consent. The figures are aggregated and cannot be traced back to you personally.

Who we share with. We never sell your data. We do work with parties that process it for us: Twilio for the text message codes, Brevo for emails, Google for statistics and Meta for advertising. Other drivers can see your reports, your convoys and the leaderboard. We also pass on data where the law requires it.

Outside Europe. Some of those parties are American companies. For those transfers we rely on the frameworks the European Commission provides.

Cookies. Necessary cookies keep you logged in and the app secure, and are always present. Analytics and marketing cookies are only placed after your consent through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time.

Your rights. You have the right to see, correct and delete your data. You can have processing restricted, object to it, request your data in a readable file, and withdraw your consent. Mail [email protected] and it is taken care of.

Complaints. You can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be) or, if you live in the Netherlands, with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
